A wheel adapter is a fork reduction sleeve: it is designed to narrow the fork opening to ensure that in the event of a tire failure, the rim never passes through the fork.
For models without adjustable forks, wheel adapters are available to lift vehicles with small wheels, such as vans and cars. Vehicles with wheels between R-12 and R-15 in diameter require two-wheel adapters per column. Vehicles with wheel diameters from R-15 to R-17 require one wheel adapter/reduction sleeve.
